I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in private practice based in West Hollywood, specializing in trauma, addiction, and relationship issues.
I work with adults whose lives have been impacted emotionally by a traumatic event or multiple traumatic events.
A large part of my practice focuses on adults facing quarter-life and mid-life issues of insecurity, self-doubt, career and relationship disappointments, money stressors, and gender/sexuality issues.
I combine some traditional psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapies with newer attachment-focused, somatic trauma treatments like mindfulness, trauma resiliency models, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Neuroscience research has proven the human brain has the capacity to heal itself from trauma. I use EMDR, an evidenced-based protocol, because the process utilizes the natural healing abilities of the body and brain. My professional and personal experiences have shown that successful EMDR treatment can help painful memories lose intensity and become neutral memories of past events.
EMDR is used to treat symptoms of PTSD, grief/loss, adjustment issues, anxiety/panic, addictions, anger/shame, chronic pain, phobias, sleep problems, low self-esteem, and other personal and relationship issues.
